Anyone with a Google account can take advantage with automatic Android phone backups. But there is also now a new iOS Google One app that will back up photos, videos, contacts, and calendar events. After you’ve used the free 15GB, you’ll have to pay for a Google One subscription if you want to back up more.
In addition, Google has updated how you can manage that storage in the app or on the web, letting you edit or free up space easier than before with access to Drive, Photos, and Gmail.
Notably these updates are only available for anyone with a Google account and does not apply to G Suite accounts. The updates are rolling out now to the Android app, and the iOS app will be launched soon.
