In a video shared on TikTok by Sunday’s owner, who’s known on the platform as Sundaythegoldenretriever, the dog can be seen dressed up as a “pawlice” officer, howling and mimicking the sound of police sirens. The dog is dressed up in a blue box saying “pawlice” with two police cherry lights on top, and the post says: “Officer Sunday on pawtrol.” According to a recent survey conducted by the American Veterinary Medical Association, dogs are still the most loved animal in the United States....

Phatlum, 23, winless in five seasons on the LPGA Tour, birdieing seven of the first 13 holes Thursday at Guadalajara Country Club. He dropped a stroke on the par-4 14th hole and finished with a 6-under 66. Playing for the first time in Guadalajara, Phatlum birdied the first three holes. Better Security When Using HTTPS As announced on the Chromium Blog, Chrome’s address bar will use https:// by default. This will be available from version 90 of the desktop and Android browser, which is due to release on April 13. iOS support will follow later. This means that when you manually type a URL into the address bar, like “makeuseof.com”, Chrome will automatically choose https:// as the default protocol. The only exception to this rule will be for IP addresses, single label domains, and reserved hostnames....

Needless to say, now might be the best time to quickly (and cheaply) make your home into a smart home. We pitted both products against each other in our comparison. The Echo Dot is by far more popular in the UK smart speaker market but we found the Google Home Mini had a fuller sound range. We also liked that the Home Mini didn’t have any visible buttons. The Echo Dot on the other hand has an aux port that can connect to a more powerful speaker if needed, which the Home Mini does not have – the the latter, though, can be paired to another speaker via Bluetooth....

Google Photos Supports Searching, Customization and File Management. Google has recently brought in a new update for its Google Photos application. With this new update users will enjoy synchronized search and a few more fun features. The app now supports searching option which makes easier to find any photo. This means, if you want to find your road trip photos clicked years ago and are saved with Google Photos, then just search ‘road trip’ and all pictures related to the search result will be shown....

Google initially launched Drive for Desktop back in February, setting it up to replace both Backup and Sync and Drive File Stream. While the latter has already been completely sunset, according to Android Central, Google has finally announced plans to shutter Backup and Sync on October 1. This gives users just a few short months to make the transition to the new app. Drive for Desktop is meant to act as a complete replacement for the systems already supported in Backup and Sync and File Stream, while bringing both the personal and business-focused components of Google Drive....

A coalition of 13 states, led by Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, has filed a lawsuit saying the decision made by President Joe Biden “contravenes congressional commands.” Wisconsin has filed a separate lawsuit also challenging Biden’s executive order, which was one of several headline-grabbing initiatives that showed his administration’s intent to tackle climate change and transition the U.S. toward clean energy. Soon after taking office, Biden also directed the secretary of the Interior Department to examine existing permits for fossil fuel development and ordered the federal government to conserve 30 percent of public lands and water by 2030....

Six progressive Democratic lawmakers bucked their party and voted against the infrastructure legislation. They stuck to their vow not to back the package unless it was approved in tandem with the large Build Back Better “human infrastructure” bill, which is still being negotiated by Democrats. Nicole Malliotakis, a New York Republican, told Axios after the vote that her support was influenced by the progressives’ opposition. She specifically called out Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a New York Democrat....
